Gongfu Tea without Opposable Thumbs

Rothko loves to study gongfu tea, but when we set the gaiwan out for him, he was a bit puzzled, and a bit sad that he couldn’t make it work quite like we do.

This is too funny. Newt likes to make her own special tea while I am having a session… it involves her paw and her bowl of water, which inevitably ends up all over the floor. I need to get her a table with a drain. ;)

Funny- Loki does the same thing. He will paw at his water dish until it tips over and the lick the water off his paws. We ended up having to get him a heavier fountain that can’t be tipped.

“I bet they’ve even got a fish swimming in there, just to spite me.”

Wouldn’t be too far off. That gaiwan has a fisherman scene painted on it. Maybe that is what got Rothko wanting try his hand at brewing…

I often feel the same way when I wake up in the mornings and do not feel human yet. Poor Rothko!

Poor Rothko can never have tea when he wants it.
