Poor boys, they have only had tea in a gaiwan or yixing at home. Such a large teapot can be a scary sight. Perhaps we should have supervised a gentler introduction to western style tea brewing. No matter, they both liked the Yunnan Jin Jun Mei we steeped up in the big pot later.
I was tempted once to buy a giant Brown Betty pot that my cat could have fin INTO. What’s the old quote? “There will never be a book long enough or a cup of tea big enough to suit me.” Big cups of tea require big pots!
