QilanTea Varietal

Qilan is a luscious, floral varietal most famous for its cultivation in Wuyishan as a roasted oolong. This 2017 autumn harvest is a greener expression of Qilan from Anxi, which brings out more of the sweet florals that make Qilan varietal unique, strengthening them with light processing and the floral mineral-heavy terroir of Master Zhang's land above Daping. Rosey florals are accentuated with a green and buttery bok choi note, contrasted by a refreshing mineral undertone for a beautiful satisfying counterpoint to Wuyi Qilan.

This tea is pre-packed in individual 5g packets for sizes under 100g.

Master Zhang also recommends

" The feeling of the tea is deep, dark and reverent, like sipping tea in a mountaintop temple. The aftertaste was full of orchid, but with a fresh green burdock undertone and light citrus bite. As the tea opened up, we got an unexpected brown rice genmaicha flavor, a sweet savory experience with a very nostalgic feeling. This earthy sweet flavor perfectly accented the floral aromas.... "
