Jin Fenghuang, or Golden Phoenix has a deep rich rocky texture, a satisfying almost granite-like flavor that build up with each steeping. Sweet barley grain accents the rich texture for a mouthwatering sensation that is reminiscent of Shui Xian. This tea is a deep exploration of Yan, the textural aspect of Wuyi Oolong.

" As the Qilan opens up, it becomes buoyant and powerful like a fine dry sherry with contrasting buckwheat undertones and jasmine high notes. The aftertaste is that of cinnamon and rosewood, accentuated by the big structured minerality that we have come to love in all of Ms. Li’s offerings.... "
