Despite Laoshan Village only having fifty years of tea cultivation and oolong being the most technically demanding kind of tea in the world to produce, Laoshan Oolong is becoming more popular each season since the He Family first experimented with it in 2013. The careful kneading and rolling brings out a beautiful, pure expression of the minerality of the soil and the water, made stronger by 2016's brutally cold spring. This tea is processed without a roast for a true green flavor of Laoshan.

" The success of the He Family with both Laoshan Roasted Oolong and Laoshan Green Oolong inspire, and can serve as catalyst for experimentation in villages across China, and ultimately, the herald of higher quality tea for years to come.... "
