This beautiful pressing from Li Xiangxi harkens back to the earliest teas of Wuyishan, which were traditionally pressed into cakes for Song Dynasty tea ceremony. The Li Family chose to set aside a reserve harvest from 2009 that has been meticulously fired at a low temperature just enough to control for moisture without adding roasted flavor to the tea. The depth of flavor comes from the natural varietal and the aging time. The result is a deep, sweet, foresty mineral-driven brew with a green heart. Don't miss the opportunity to try this Song Dynasty throwback from one of the most traditional growing regions in China.
