This 2017 wild-picked Bai Mu Dan already displays the complexity that white tea aging can bring out, tempering the vibrant herbaceous green tones of fresh tea and smoothing them out with silky velvety texture and creamy aftertaste. Aging brings out deep, rich complexity through oxidative processes, hydrolysis and other non-fermentation reactions. This complexity builds on the already impressive flavor and texture that the Wu Family has to offer from their mountaintop wild plot harvest, carefully selected from bushes that have grown without trimming or intervention for over a generation.
