Master potter Zhu Huan brings an incredibly soft organic feeling to the Xi Shi form.
The Xi Shi is always rounded, but few artists capture the smoothness of transition from body to spout that a Xi Shi deserves, or the the yielding quality of a ball shape being drawn earthwards.
Zhu Huan brings meticulous craft to her Xi Shi to give a feeling of complete grace - a teapot ready to welcome any tea with a feeling of genuine hospitality conveyed in its form.
The exquisite and deep, almost luminous red Zhu Ni clay is accented with bautiful flecks of gold leaf for contrast. The Zhu Ni will grow even deeper and more lustrous with every use.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Zhu Huan
Zhu Huan was born in China’s pottery capital, Yixing, in 1989.
She graduated from The Wuxi College of Art and Craft in Jiangsu, and focused from the beginning on apprenticeships with the most highly regarded masters of Yixing craft, and won a research fellowship to study under the top ranked Master Cao Yanping.
Over the course of this fellowship, Zhu Huan not only mastered ancient forms, but developed her own distinctive style, gaining praise from collectors and yixing experts.
