Woven Rattan Tea Board
Woven Rattan Tea Board

The tea tray is the foundation of modern gongfu tea, where extra steepings and water are collected in a bowl instead of poured directly in a draining tea board. This style allows for a versatile, compact and elegant setup that calls back to the Song Dynasty scholarly tradition.
This refined tea tray brings in the depth of dark bamboo, and the textural beauty of woven rattan. The basket-style weaving creates a deeper link to the natural world in your tea setup and makes a backdrop that lets your yixing, porcelain, celadon and more really come forward. In addition, rattan is a softer surface that protects yixing from scratching, and draws water drips and small spills away from teaware.

TEA BOARD CARE & CLEANING
These simple tea trays are designed to be used as a tea boat for modern gongfu style.
Clean this board of all drips and leaves after use, and allow the board dry completely between sessions.
Do not leave wet overnight. Leaving boards wet for extended periods of time can cause wood to warp or crack, and standing water may become unhygienic.
Do not leave standing water on the tray for extended periods of time.
Spot clean and hand wash as needed with warm, soapy water and a gentle sponge, then air dry completely or wipe dry with a soft cloth.
