For Li Xiaoping’s first year ever processing black tea from her hand-picked Dragonwell leaves, she wanted to make sure to experiment fully, saving some of each harvest for the unique oxidation process that brings out the malty savory flavors of black tea. This 2nd picking is a unique, bud-heavy harvest that balances the rich, thick flavor forward experience of classic harvest Dragonwell with the light, sweet and aromatic lingering qualities of the 1st delicate harvest of the year. The result is a beautiful, refined tea that captures the unique mineral-forward flavor of the region.

'The soil of Shi Feng is a unique white sand and quartz mixture that lends an unmistakable minerality to every tea growing on the slopes of Shi Feng. The actual Dragon Well ( long jing ) at the base of Shi Feng is a source of sweet, clean water. This water flows in mountain springs and aquifers and feeds the tea with sweet mineral water.'
