Banzhang tea is famously sweet and lingering in the aftertaste. This all-buds gongting shu is no exception. Expect rich yeasty steamed bun flavor with a sparkling minerality in the texture, and the silkiness that comes with tiny bud gongting teas. Uniquely, a minty undertone starts to build up as the tea steeps out.

Wang Yanxin also recommends:
'Most pu’er does become more complex over time. Astringency mellows out, darker and richer flavors come through. Textural complexities become more pronounced. Starting with an intriguing young pu’er of high quality with lots of textures and flavors at play will increase your chances of graceful aging.'
