This special bundle includes three 25g loose leaf teas for 75g total (about 15 cozy mugs), and beautiful celadon tea mug.

When it's cold outside, we all need our cozy go-tos. This kit is about holding both hands around a beautiful mug and taking in the steam from some of our favorite teas. Whether you are looking for a gift for someone just getting into tea, or searching for the perfect companion to a good book or movie night, this set delivers.

Beautifully glazed and fired in a traditional Longquen celadon kiln, the covered mug is meant to keep your tea warm between sips, and to feel good in the hands. The classic blue-green is a gorgeous contrast to brewed tea.

We paired this mug with three of the absolute most classic and famous teas we are lucky enough to bring in: fresh, rolled Tieguanyin oolong with all its creamy saffron orchid notes, true Shi Feng Dragonwell (the iconic Chinese green tea!), and Jin Jun Mei - a stunning black tea made entirely of downy buds.

HOW TO MAKE
BASIC GONGFU TEA

Brewing gongfu tea is super easy and fun! Gongfu tea brewing packs lots of leaves into a small vessel, brewing the same leaves over and over in one long session.

To brew, portion out about 5g of tea and then add your tea the brewer insert. Place the brewer insert into the glass pitcher, and then pour just-boiled water over the loose leaf tea.

After about ten seconds, remove the brewing insert from the pitcher. Pour your tea from the pitcher into the small cups, and enjoy!

Remember, you can feel free to play with brewing time and temperature. Hotter water means your tea will take less time to infuseCooler water can give you more time and flexibility before the infusion becomes too strong.

After you finish your first infusion - keep going! Add a few seconds each time you brew your tea leaves, and enjoy the way your tea changes over your brewing session.

Black Buds Jin Jun Mei (25g)

Xingcun Xiaozhong varietal tea in Wuyishan can produce black and gold buds. While the golden bud expression has been encouraged through cultivation for its stunning color, Li Xiangxi and her family often prefer the depth and complexity of black buds. This tea still uses the same tiny buds and the same meticulous hand-picking as their golden buds Jin Jun Mei, but with a more spiced and savory flavor profile.

Jin Jun Mei Black Tea (25g)

Jin Jun Mei Wuyi black tea is one of the most labor intensive and demanding teas to produce. Fine Jin Jun Mei is made exclusively from tiny spring buds, and requires thousands and thousands of hand-picked golden buds to make a single pound of finished tea. The result is a downy tea with a thick full texture, and a beautiful elegance. Li Xiangxi's spring-fed tea grows out of rocky, sandy soil, yielding a rich mineral flavor true to Wuyishan's unique terroir.

Autumn Tieguanyin (25g)

True Tieguanyin varietal stands out for its deep lingering aftertaste, big texture, and the ability to steep out over many infusions. Master Zhang has honed his Tieguanyin cultivation techniques and finishing process over forty years of experimentation, earning the respect of the entire Daping area as a teacher and community leader. He utilizes organic farming techniques, encourages biodiversity, and advocates against wasteful irrigation to encourage healthy and deeply complex and nuanced tea. This modern green style Tieguanyin requires an intense turning and fluffing process in finishing that needs to be adapted on the spot depending on the weather and the aroma, requiring deep experience.
