This beautiful series features a hand-painted motif drawing on the Tang dynasty tradition of gardens set up for scholarly contemplation and meditation, highlighting the beauty of natural objects like unique rocks and trees through the seasons. This ‘scholar’s garden’ motif follows through with leaves from the tree settling on the uniquely wide and ornate gaiwan saucer for an incredible effect. The artists of the De Hua Peng Yuan Studio are dedicated to honoring the art of porcelain with lustrous and highly vitrified pieces that reflect the true aroma of tea. This set includes the unique wide-saucer gaiwan, a pitcher and two matching cups. Every hand-painted piece is unique.
