This teapot is bold and modern, made with extremely dense original Huang Long Shan Zi ni. Xu Yanping has worked and smoothed the clay to bring out a subtle swirling pattern that evokes a wood grain or a misty landscape. As the patina on this pot builds, the subtle swirling will become more lustrous and beautiful over time. We are extremely excited to represent Xu Yanping this year. Her work is all about bold unexpected strokes and exquisite clay. Xu Yanping is an award-winning master with access to some of the best clay in Yixing.
