The Dongsa Cooperative wild-picked this tea in the remote mountains of Ailao from one hundred to three hundred year old trees in the autumn, and carefully sun dried the Maocha to lock in the fruity sweet aroma. The early autumn Gu Hua harvest is Master Zhou's favorite of the year for its rich tulsi-like herbaceous flavor that makes it perfect for aging. The biodiversity of the region gives this already 6yr aged cake a complexity and sweetness beyond its years. Over the course of aging, these 357g pressings have picked up minor scratches or tears on their outer wrapper.

Through the cooperative, these families and individuals can work together the share resources and knowledge, teaching and learning from each other while protecting and acting as stewards over tea trees in the oldest tea forest in the world'
