The He Family is continuing their tradition this year of wild-foraging caffeine-free native Laoshan herbs. While many of the He Family's herbal teas are finished using their expertise at green tea processing in ordr finish the leaves like a traditional green tea, this tiny batch experimental herbal tea was finished with a higher roast than the rest of the spring 2020 Mulbrry leaf harvest. The Shandong native Lu mulberry leaf is normally be simply air-dried for use in medicinal tea, but the He Family has applied withering, heat-fixing, curling and tumble-drying with a higher roast in order to bring out richness and subtle flavor through their craft. We are excited to share the He Family's herbal teas this season, and to offer a look at the flavor of Laoshan from another plant entirely different from camellia sinensis!

  • 'When humans first started drinking real tea, it rocked our word. The tea plant seemed magical. But what if tea is not the only plant out there that does incredible things when finished with craft and brewed up right?'
