Master Zhang’s family has tended a variety of tea cultivars in Daping for generations. His tea is fed by sweet mountain springs and grows on the cloud-enveloped peaks of Anxi.
Da Dan is named after an aromatic type of Osmanthus for its evocative floral and fruity profile. Master Zhang cultivates this rare varietal on his rocky high-elevation mountain plot above Daping using traditional organic growing techniques to preserve the beautiful biodiverse landscape and bring deeper complexity to his tea. This Dan Gui is finished in the modern greener style after a full day fluffing and turning to bring out the biggest most intense florals possible.
