Master Zhang’s family has tended a variety of tea cultivars in Daping for generations. His tea is fed by sweet mountain springs and grows on the cloud-enveloped peaks of Anxi.
Dangui is a relatively new Wuyi hybrid that traces its lineage back to Rou Gui. It has been winning awards across China for its big aromatics, and has been used for both strip style oolong, rolled oolong and green tea. Master Zhang's rolled oolong processing brings out intense and lingering florals, with a satisfying sweet and savory undertone.
