While classic white tea is picked from Da Bai (”big white”) varietal tea plants, this unique harvest is picked from Xiao Bai (”small white”). The early spring harvest is full of downy buds and delicate leaves for a thick rich intensity. Over several steepings, a lingering sparkling sensation builds up on the palate with notes of clover and marshmallow and a spice clove aftertaste. The wild terroir of these untended plants adds depth to the aftertaste and a thick mineral-driven texture.
