"Remembering a Bamboo Grove" Masterwork Yixing
"Remembering a Bamboo Grove" Masterwork Yixing
Crafted By Zhu Huan
This exquisitely sculpted and carved teapot by potter Zhu Huan incorporates a bamboo motif that feels full of life, forming the actual body of the pot, while confident and fluid carving work shows the scene of a bamboo grove.
The back of the pot reads “Xiang Jiang Qing Ying,” or “Evoking the Yangtze River,” revealing the inspiration for this quiet powerful scene.
The Hong Pi Qing Duan Ni is buffed to a beautiful shine in contrast to the carvings themselves, and the pot is ready to take on even more depth and luster over years of joyful brewing.
