This is one of the only sheng pu’ers over a decade old that Wang Yanxin has released from her collection. Yongming’s classic cooling yun is on full display, but with the intriguing toasted walnut savory notes that we normally only see from Banzhang leaf material. This is a rare example of balancing these nutty qualities with rich incense spice and cooling, tingling aftertaste and sensation.

'Most pu’er does become more complex over time. Astringency mellows out, darker and richer flavors come through. Textural complexities become more pronounced. Starting with an intriguing young pu’er of high quality with lots of textures and flavors at play will increase your chances of graceful aging.'
